1997 Gas Par Car charging question
I recently purchased a 1997 Columbia Par Car with the 9 HP Briggs. Motor is running great, I used a rear seat kit for an EZ Go and made it fit, everything is coming together nicely for this to be our lake cart soon. Problem is the cart doesn't seem to be charging. I downloaded the proper service manual and found the testing procedure to test the voltage regulator. It has me remove the green wire from the DF terminal on the generator and run the motor at approx 2000 rpm to read voltage at the battery. Problem is that when i remove the green wire from the DF terminal the cart won't start, just sputters a bit.
The directions don't mention anything if this is the outcome, any thoughts from anyone here. Thanks in advance for your assistance. jody |

Re: 1997 Gas Par Car charging question
After removing the green wire, did you remember to run a temporary wire from the DF terminal to the ground?
