Key Switch Option?
Hi Everyone,
I am new to the forum but have been doing a bit of reading. I have an 86 Columbia gas cart. My key switched stopped working the other day. I found on here that someone was able to cut their's open and rebuild it. We'll i tried that but unfortunately mine was melted so bad that there is not much left inside it so i need a new one. I have seen were people add the selnoids and convert it to a switch that does not run the voltage through it. vintagegolfcartparts.com sells a kit to do this part number sw104b. Its 140 bucks should i just buy that or build a set up? If i build one anyone have part number of what stuff i need to buy? Thank you |

Re: Key Switch Option?
Please search the forum for information. There are a few inexpensive solutions to the problem. I have heard of a new stock switch for around $50.00 or $60.00. If you are resourceful the solenoid set up is also around $50.00 to $75.00. There have been several posts on the forum covering this topic.

Re: Key Switch Option?
Hey guys. Just purchased a 91 par car for peanuts. Mostly use to working on club car. Unfortunately, the par car has no ignition switch. Is there any way of by passing the ignition switch to see if I can even get it to fire up?

Re: Key Switch Option?
Are you talking about the ignition switch or the forward/reverse switch? If you mean an ignition switch I think the ignition was with the f/r switch on the 1991 model. or all in one. Download the repair manual from the forum and also check the manual on the F/R switch wiring. The diagram will be in the 1991 and 1992 utilitruck manual and maybe before that.
