F/R switch conversion comparison
Does anyone have any opinions on which conversion kit is better, the one from golf cart care, versus the kit from vintage golf cart parts? there is almost a $70.00 difference in price.I know this topic is beaten up, but i could not find any more info on these kits from forum.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I have also seen talk (but no details) about a 'G1' conversion. Is that the same parts and price range? G1 is apparently a Yamaha cart?

Re: F/R switch conversion comparison
I just bought the one from Golf Cart Care. The boss there states that he is the one that designed the conversion and the others are his with a jacked up price. Right now, I'm having a bit of trouble with installing it because the diagrams are not labeled as to components. I'm sure I missed something, but I'm not sure what.

Pa, that is the $85.00 one ? I bought this par cart for my mother, I do believe it could possibly be the ugliest cart on earth, lol...white,hot pink and blue stripes with matching seats, it even has factory rear seat, lol believe its a '92...I have gone through 2 key switches already, sold my black ,92 due to crank seal being bad, should have kept it for parts..lol Ill post pics after the weekend.

Re: F/R switch conversion comparison
Nothing that a coat of paint and some vinyl dye won't fix.
I'm still trying to get the upgrade kit working. Something's not right and I can't seem to get the s/g to operate though the solenoids operate. I'm hoping 73eldo can figure it out as we've been communicating in another thread. There's nobody local that has done the conversion and the guy I bought it from isn't a lot of help over the phone. |
