Default Rear axle gas txt limited slip housing broken

I have a 98 txt ezgo, lifted with 24hp engine.

Couple questions about this broken part pictured before.. what is it and does it belong on a gas ezgo?

I think it is the limited slip differential unit?

Looks like i may just get a whole rear end, the axle tubes are bent also, which would explain why the differential carrier broke.

Any good swap options for a heavy duty rear end

They're all going to be about the same as far as build quality goes (meaning there is no difference between a TXT, Workhorse, MPT, etc rear end) ...

The good news though is as long as You're swapping the rear end, what a GREAT time to install a set of 8:1 gears in the new one, 24hp will pull them without a hitch and You'll gain another 8-10mph on the top end :)

Thats a good idea. How about the electric rear ends vs the gas.
