Re: 1986 ezgo will not start
It should do both. When blowing, it should push your finger off pretty good.
You said flooded engine block. Since you have the fuel pump off, take it apart, and check the lower diaphragm for rips. Looking at everything that you have listed, you are down to fuel pump, and crankshaft seals. |

Agree with Cart..... The fuel pump diaphragm is probably leaking fuel back into the block. Crankcase pressure pulses drive the pump.

Re: 1986 ezgo will not start
No suction at the carb would make me think that the piston is in backwards, or the crankshaft seals are junk.
Was this a recent rebuild? |

Re: 1986 ezgo will not start
Did you align the end of the rings with the little pins in the ring grooves?
What was the result of putting your finger over the fuel pump hole while turning it over? Good pressure, or very little? If the rings are on right, it screams crankshaft seals. EDIT: The rings also have a bevel side that goes up. |

Re: 1986 ezgo will not start
rings line up with notches , bevel side up. blows good pressure , but with fuel pump off and hole open sucks good , if I put my finger on hole no suction
Thanks for the help. |
