Default Golf Cart Repair 012ch102 l-1

I cannot find any other markings on the cart. I was told it was a 1989 ez go, I am new to.this and trying to figure out what kind of rear end I have. The only markings I can find are 012ch102 l-1

Look at your model number on the right side of the dash. The last two digits would tell you the year. Or post up some pics of your ride and we can go from there.

There are no markings. The plates have been removed. I bought it from a guy who intended on putting a snow mobile engine in it but never did. Mainly I want to know how to determine if my transaxle has a reverse gear. And I can put a 4 stroke enginge in it.

I believe 4 strokes started in 91. Your forward reverse switch would be mechanical, not electrical. There would be a lever on the axle for switching to reverse.

That picture was way too small to see anything.

The picture, while it is small, appears to be of a 89ish model. It will not have a reverse gear per se. The 2 stroke engine that was in it ran either direction as was determined by the direction selector which reversed the generator.

better pic is needed - the EZGO front end is metal, not fiberglass - from the looks of your pic that front end is from a Par Car (although the rear looks right for an EZGO) ...

Pics of the front end, better shot of the rear, and a pic of the top of the transaxle will let us get it 100% identified for You
