exhaust pipe for a 1988 ezgo marathon 2pg
Hello,I'm new to buggies gone wild so here it goes I'm trying to find a site that sells the exhaust pipe for a 1988 ezgo marathon. It has the pipe on it but I have had to weld it. If I can't find one a Honda rebel and Yamaha 250 flange will fit so I may have to go that way and have the rest of the pipe made at a muffler shop. Any info would be appreciated thanks.

I'm assuming your looking for the header pipe? That has been talked about before and I don't think anyone found a source for a new one. They got lucky and someone had one from there scrap cart parts pile if I remember correctly. That's one of the few disadvantages we have as 88 owners. I would start thinking creatively with the other pipes you mentioned.

Unless you get very lucky and find someone selling one, the 88 header pipe, like Morgan said, is VERY hard to come by. If you do find one, expect to pay upwards of $75 for it, as they are so rare folks tend to price gouge. You'll likely have to have one bent custom. I was one of the lucky few who found one, I bought it with some other bits from an 88 and was literally jumping up and down in excitement when I was able to score them.

Hopefully, a guy with both types can do a side-by-side comparison of the regular and hi-po exhausts ;)

Re: exhaust pipe for a 1988 ezgo marathon 2pg
Thanks guys for the info,I knew it would be very hard to find one. I did find ONE on eBay but it is $100 but that would be the last resort.I also forgot to mention that and old style air cooled VW flange also fits because that is what I'm now using for the exhaust gasket.we have a local muffler shop that if there is a muffler system or pipe made ever for anything he can do so that may be what I do,but if anyone comes up with a site that has them please let me know and again thanks.

It's a couple of bends. Any competent muffler shop should be able to whip one up quick & cheap.
