Fuel pump question
looked through some old thread and seems most have problems with different carts then I have. First off this 99 txt I picked up yesterday, how do I know which engine is in it?
I drove this cart when I picked it up, went out today and it wont start, has fuel in the clear fuel filter but it doesn't do anything when engine turns over. I pulled all the lines off the pump besides the one going from the tank one at a time, no fuel came out of either of the lines. Is there anything else I should check for before I order a new pump? |

Re: Fuel pump question
You dropped the pump? Does that hurt it?
I have a 99 ezgo with a 295 Robbins that is having similar issues. Curious to see what you find, I may dig into mine tonight or tomorrow. |

Re: Fuel pump question
The fuel pump is actuated by crank case pressure. The line that goes from the pump to the crank case should not have any fuel in it and if you disconnect it from the pump and turn the engine over you should feel it pulsing. When you get your new pump be sure and replace the lines as well since you will already be working on the system.

Re: Fuel pump question
It should... Once you get it installed, pull the line off the carb and turn the engine over a bit. It should pump the gas out nicely. If you still have trouble, then look at a deep carb cleaning. Also once you get it going, go ahead a check the valve adjustment.
Also, look around on the head, you should see "EH29" or "EH 35". that's the 295 or 350 respectively. |

Re: Fuel pump question
I put the pump back together and reinstalled, it works now, I can visibly see dirt in my fuel filter. Guess its doing its job, This thing is a bear to start.
