1988 marathon 2pg wont spark

OK so I'm going to get right to it my 1988 marathon 2pg was firing fine and now it only sparks one time when I press the pedal if that makes sense. It won't make a consistent spark just a spark when the pedal switch is pressed and then nothing. I read on here where it could be the igniter and if it is I can change it to an hei ??

Follow the red and blue wires out of the motor and make sure they are plugged into the ignitor tightly and cleanly.

I have checked all connections and is all good even have ohmed them and checked voltage that is all good still just one spark when I press the pedal forward and reverse.

It is likely the pulser if you only get one spark. The same thing happens if it is unplugged from the ignitor.

I have had a similar problem with a faulty ignition coil. Replaced coil and hasn't failed since.

I even unplugged it to see and it still gets one spark. I two coils and tried both still the same.

Yep I tried another coil I know is good still same problem.

Could it be the ignitor ? I hope its not the pulsar.

OK so I checked the pulsar and as far as I can tell it does get a reading but only 0.4 volts.
