Re: ezgo governer adjustment video???
basically you can adjust it so the the throttle valve opens all the way when we started playing with mine last summer when i bought it the throttle was just barely opening up on the carb so by opening it up all the way you get max power out of the engine but really not much top end speed. then play with the governor cables on the axle and you can get some more top end. although after doing it we found the cart was jerky and didnt want to go slow. the kids had a hard time driving it after i tim tailered it (acording to my wife) in the rv park

Re: ezgo governer adjustment video???
Okay, first off, All of these comments are MO, take as such..
All he adjusted was the idle stop... Now you cant go slow.. The true way to adjust the governor on these carts is to adjust the spring assembly on top of the transaxle. Do not make it too tight or the cart will be jerky.. I have just used a short 1/2 long piece of 1/4 inch hose slit lengthwise. I put it between the nut and the spring washer and then put a zip tie on it. That way if I need to remove it I just cut the tie and pull it out.. Be gentle people or the motor will go away |

Re: ezgo governer adjustment video???
i absolutely agree as a new cart owner im still very ignorant as to operation and adjustments. we played with the gov on the axle for about 2 days before we got it set correctly we would turn it all the way out and drive 5 miles ish through the vineyards and orchards and turn it again to drive in the park. there was quite a difference in speed from playing with it. although im still unsure of how it actually works
