voltage regulator location

99 txt 295, I read the service manual provided my sccowboy in an older post, id didn't list physical location of the regulator, im assuming it is under the plastic shield by the battery?

Yes, it's under the black plastic pyramid shaped cover. It's a black square box with 3 wires (red, black & green) coming out of it.

the green field wire is the wire that goes to the front facing side of the generator right?

well then, I guess im gonna pull the starter generator off and have it rebuilt, wont go above 12v even with wire grounded

You do have a ground strap from the battery to the generator right?

yea, its actually just a steel cable

grounded from battery to frame to generator then I have a loose eyelet? where would that go?

looks like it goes to the engine somewhere, cant see in there too well
