Default How are the EZGO's with the Kawasaki engines?

I found a EZGO with the Kawasaki engine. Is this any good? Easy to build up with a lift and maybe more power? Please let me know what ya think.

Look here: Any love for gas RXV? The consensus is not favorable but I like mine a lot.

My RXV has the Kawasaki 400 in it. Good motor but I am hearing that they have quit making that motor so not sure of the future.. Some of the early models had clutch issues that would cause them to squeal.. New ones use the Team clutch front and rear.

The pre-2008 EZGO's have the Robins twin-cylinder engines and are VERY nice carts. Smooth, powerful, fast-revving, quiet - a real nice ride. As suggested in other places, run AWAY from any EZGO with the 2008-up Kawasaki drivetrain.

Personally, I like to hunt down and customize the Workhorse/MPT models from 2000-2007 (search my threads I've done a bunch of 'em) - they come with the bigger 350cc Twin as well as the 28 degree clutch so far more torque right from the get-go as well as a few extra HP ... The dump boxes are a nice touch, and resale is strong on them, especially if they are tricked out. Also, there are a lot of them out there for seriously LOW prices that have been on maintenece crews, etc so they are weak-engine or in many cases, no-engine (I have seen maintenance carts from 2007 with literally 6K on the hour meters) - the trick is to buy those cheap, have CT Rebuilds set You up with a 375cc Performance Rebuild (around $675 with a core exchange and 1-day turnaround) and now You've got a cart with ANOTHER few ponies over the stock 350 AND it's a brand-new warrantied motor to boot.

Just don't come to Wisconsin looking for one, around here that's MY gig, hahahaha

Oops - almost forgot - if You can find a Yamaha G22 or Gmax (same carts different nameplates) with the 357cc engine, there are a TON of inexpensive mods available through Don Plowman (plowmanscarts.com) - it's very real to expect 30mph plus and more torque than You would ever need simply by going with his "Hot Setup" at $475, slightly more if You lift the cart and run bigger tires. If fast is your thing, Yamaha's are the best (I prefer to work with the G16's and G22's) but for actual WORK and smooth power, the Workhorse/MPT with a CTR Engine is as good as You'll get without doing a big-block and driving around in something that sounds like a demented lawnmower.

the base price for the "Full Monte" 375cc Perf Motor is $675, core deposit is $400 and shipping each way runs (for me in WI) around $53 ... I say pull yours and take it in to pick up the new one, I'm sure Carrie could work it all out with you.

Oops - You did say 08, right? Early 08 with the 350 or later w the 400 Kawi? HEY and we need to talk, I just completely pulled a "Do Over" on my racing cart, popped the $ for the full Jakes LT setup and I'm seriously thinking it needs one of those fancy-schmancy ST cowls to pull it all together!

Bb, backed to the post. Kawasaki makes a good engine. Club car has been using them for just about forever. If taken care of should last a while. My fear is I have been told they are not making them anymore and that scares me..

Brew, I will pm you..
