1994 marathon needs help...
Hello all
I have a 1994 Marathon that slowly stopped running. At this point have have replaced just about everything. New coil, , new plugs, new fuel pump (tubing is good), new siphon tube, new Carb and new air filter. The weird part is I smell fuel and am getting spark from both plugs (grounding them on the exhaust manifold). If I leave the passenger side plug in and pull the drivers I can get the motor to fire and run (Not well but is firing). If i swap them and pull passenger side plug leave in the drivers it will not run. Will not run with both in... This was running good all last year and then in May started to cut out and die. it would come to a full stop and then after turning the engine over for a bit would fire and run. it then started to slow down and will not run at all. Started with a new fuel supply then added the coil with no change. The only thing I have not changed is the ignition box but wanted to ask here before I order one. I also use this to pull my son's Jr Dragster and it did fine in April. Any ideas? |

Re: 1994 marathon needs help...
Thanks TQC.
Well found out is only has 60 PSI in the drives side cylinder and the valves still look good. Time for a new engine or a rebuild. I found a place called "Motors and more" for a rebuilt engine. Any one else know of a shop that has re built motors ready to go? Any Venders here? Thanks! |

Re: 1994 marathon needs help...
There's a few vendors that do stockers, 350's and I think I've seen something like a 375...
Hopefully someone else will chime in that has experience, maybe start a new thread looking for re-man engine. You're in the same boat as me.. I found a new Kohler 'clone' that I'm swapping in now |

Look up CT rebuilds info is in this thread:
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...own-motor.html Or alternatively you could rebuild it yourself and learn all about how these little engines work. |
