1993 EZGO Steering
My in-laws gave us their 93' EZGO gas after they purchased another cart. He used it around the farm so it does need a little work but nothing major. I actually rebuilt the engine in this cart for him a couple years ago so I know the engine is good.
What I'm messing with now is the steering. The wheel will turn a couple inches each way before "grabbing". I just installed the repair kit and still having the same problem. Looking underneath while wiggling the wheel I can tell it's nothing underneath such as tie rods. The wheel moves back and forth before anything makes contact underneath. Is there anything inside the column itself that could cause this? Could the gear on the bottom of the column be slipping? Thanks in advance for any help! |

Re: 1993 EZGO Steering
I had the same with my 94. I just replaced the rack and the ball joint that comes with it. Took about 3/4 of the play out of the steering. Worked great for about two weeks now the steering just spins with out turning the wheels.
I will be watching here to see what happens. Good luck . The rack was easy to R & R. Royce |
