1992 Marathon Accelerator Micro-Switch
Hello all. I give up. I've looked everywhere but where I need too I guess. Can anyone direct me where to buy the mico-switch that goes on the accelerator on my cart.
Everything that I have found has three terminals and mine only has two. The only part number I can read off of it is 9525 and WZ-2RW8225522T-S. I took the switch apart (obviously)and cleaned the contacts and put the ohm meter on it and it works on the bench but not in the cart so I'm just giving up. Thank you for any help, it's much appreciated! [IMG][/IMG] |

Re: 1992 Marathon Accelerator Micro-Switch
You should be able to use one of the switches with 3 terminals. The switch with 3 terminals is a spdt (single pull double throw) switch but you have a spst (single pull single throw) switch. To use a spdt as a spst you can just use a short jumper from the center terminal to one of the side terminals.
If it tests good are you sure something else isn't going on with your cart? |

Re: 1992 Marathon Accelerator Micro-Switch
I saw those too on eBay. Was hoping to get the right switch but maybe I'll have to try the jumper.
Yes I'm sure it's the switch. I can put the two wires off the switch together and just turn the ignition key on and off to start the engine so there must be something in that switch. Puzzling how it works on the bench and not in the cart though. If no one else knows where to get the right switch I'll get a three terminal and try a jumper. Thank you! |

Re: 1992 Marathon Accelerator Micro-Switch
I have a 93 Marathon. The switch number on mine is Z-15GW22. When I googled it it says that it's a high precision basic switch in a variety of styles. Since there are different styles I'd give one of the places a call and explain to them what you need.
It's a 15 amp roller switch. I bet there are a bunch of different brands and styles out there that would work so maybe you can search for a two terminal 15 amp roller switch. As long as the measurements of the housing are the same for mounting I don't see why it wouldn't work. |

Re: 1992 Marathon Accelerator Micro-Switch
I was thinking the same thing that as long as it mounted up to the existing holes I'd be good. I mean even if it doesn't then I'm sure I could get it mounted by drilling a couple holes. No biggie, I was just trying to find the original one if possible.
Thanks for the part numbers, I'll check it out! I checked out the number you gave and that is a three terminal which I may just go ahead and buy. I'll keep looking for the two terminal for awhile and if not that one you suggested looks like it would bolt right up. |

Re: 1992 Marathon Accelerator Micro-Switch
My switch with that part number only has two terminals. Looks like I'll have the same issue as you're having if I ever have to find one. One website I went to said there are a variety of styles. I wonder if the spdt or 3 terminal is more popular so that's the one that is always pictured. You would think they would have separate part numbers but I've came across different styles with the same part number.
If you can't find an original using a jumper should definitely work. |

Re: 1992 Marathon Accelerator Micro-Switch
What about this one?
ttp://www.amazon.com/E-Z-GO-10606G5-Amp-Switch-Limit/dp/B00699VN98 What I don't get is there are some on ebay listed for marathon's and they're the 3 terminal. I don't think it would work unless you run a jumper but the listing doesn't say anything about having to do that. |

Re: 1992 Marathon Accelerator Micro-Switch
This says that the 3 terminal can be used as a replacement.
