What tach are you guys using?
My 92 4 stroke marathon is apparently one that got out without a rev limiter, so I am just curious as to what rpm it is turning. I would like to stick a tach in it, but dont want a digital one...I kinda like round gauges.
What are you guys using on your carts? Where do you get your rpm references signal? Thanks |

Equus 8068. It comes with the inductive pick up. Camp the inductive pick up around your spark plug wire, run a power, and ground wire and your good to go. Theres also a back light that works great at night.

Re: What tach are you guys using?
Thats what I have noticed about most tachs on the market. I guess someone makes one for bikes that should work I guess?

Re: What tach are you guys using?
Ya it said the same thing on the box when i bought it (4, 6, and 8 cyl engines). But it works just fine on my single banger cc. I'm swapping in a big block at Christmas time and I'm hoping it will work on the V-Twin. I'm sure it will.

Re: What tach are you guys using?
So what is everyone's engine taching at before the rev-limiter? Or, where would it be redlining?

Re: What tach are you guys using?
Not sure, I disconnected the rpm limiter before i installed the tach. With the rpm limiter disconnected my fe290 reaches about 2700 rpm max.
