Wondering if the starter solenoid fails if toucan cross ref to a parts store one ?

You need a continuous duty solenoid. A car solenoid will burn out.

You can pick up a continuous duty at an RV surplus/parts store if you have one around you.

Ok I've replaced the generator and new starter switch and some time I can get it to click sometimes it won't I bought this cart not running and someone's poor attempt to fix it any help I would dearly appreci

Start with checking the battery voltage. After that, clean all of the wire connections.

C on the f/r selector has power is that common for ground

C has a direct connection to the negative side of the battery. How are you checking it?
Between C, and what other point? |

I grounded the volt meter to ground on battery and was checking to see if I had volts on the forward and reverse and check c and had 12 volts traced it and it was grounded on the frame
