seat getting hot

I built a new seat pan for my 1989 ez go now that I have it running good the seat gets very hot with the muffler right under it what can I do to keep it cool it is 1/2 inch plywood seen one wrapped with header insulation local stores want about 50$ for one roll has any one else had this problem and how did you fix it

I used an insulation blanket that is made for the underside hood of a car. It insulates and is fireproof (unless you soak it in oil).
Its been a while, but I believe it was like $20....got it off Amazon.
Just had to trim it to fit seat shape.

This is the bottom of the seat comes with adhesive on the back side cut to shape peal and stick around 20 $ on ebayIMG_20150804_095524759.jpg
