HE Mod 2 cylinder
I didn't read all 17 pages good enough. No where does it say 2 cylinder. So I checked my coil.
Primary to ground is open Primary to primary is 13.48 k ohm Secondary is 4.8 ohm - to + Secondary to ground is open There should be high ohm to ground on the primary side I would think. So now I'm looking for a dual fire coil. Any ideas? Mark |

Re: HE Mod 2 cylinder
That is a dual fire coil for point ignition. Both plug outlets fire at the same time.Never used one in any cart.

Re: HE Mod 2 cylinder
Would it make a difference that I'm using an igniter?

Re: HE Mod 2 cylinder
Maybe but why do you want to use a dual fire coil?
Harley did it so they didn't have to worry about a distributor. |

Re: HE Mod 2 cylinder
Because I have a 2 cylinder motor. The coil that was in it had two spark plug leads. One for each cylinder. The igniter fired the one coil.

Re: HE Mod 2 cylinder
I understand you have a 2cyl engine but do you want both plugs firing at the same time? Harley later went to a single fire system with 2 coils for more spark. There are also harley aftermarket coils such as accel with 2 hots and a single ground so each plug can fire separately.

I'm not riding a Harley. I am trying to get my EZGO to go.

Re: HE Mod 2 cylinder
I understand that too but I am trying to see which of the harley coils if any will work in your cart.
