1988 EZGO 2 cycle "lower gear"
As you guys have seen in other posts I rebuilt my 1988 EZGO and the engine runs strong! That being said, where I live it has some big steep hills and before the rebuild the cart seemed to "change gears" when it was slowing down going up a steep hill. Now with the rebuilt engine on the same steep hills it does not "change gears". The engine does pull the big steep hills better but I would think if it was "changing gears" it would pull them faster. Any clue?

Since the engine is running stronger, the RPMs are staying higher. That would keep the clutches from downshifting.
A good shot of Moly lube, or dry slide wouldn't hurt. |
