Default fuel pump repair

So today I pulled the fuel pump and found the common blown bottom diaphragm.

Has anyone tried to make there own diaphragm for this, or am I the only one crazy enough to try it ?

If you have, I would like to know how you made out with it.

I figured it's already blown, so it cant hurt to experiment.

Try some local golf car repair shops- many change pumps that's there is nothing wrong with them. You can try Yamaha and EZGO shops. Chances are good you wont have to make one, but get one for free.

I like free. If it's for free it's for me.

There is one shop near me, but they don't give nothing away. I might try a couple local golf courses to.

I mainly want to try it to see if it will work.

But thanks for the idea.

You may want to try this. Heard to much about stock fuel pumps and said HAY what about this at about $8.00 cost. I have installed it with no problems and running like a top.

You can buy the diaphram kit on eBay for about $12.

Thank you for the pictures. I was thinking about doing that but wasn't quite shore about how to attach it the motor, for the vacuum to run the pump.

And I think I may have one of those pumps lying around.
