Default 1989 Club Car Gas HEI Conversion

Hey gang, Newbie here, Found a thread on the HEI to replace the exciter coil that is no longer available. I did print off Brewcity's instructions and wiring diagram, but am a little leery to start cutting wires and stuff without a little more confirmation.

Anybody else done this and care to elaborate?

I have a single wire from the solenoid that plugs in, 2 wires from the coil and a 3 wire plug from the pulsar? I am assuming?

Cheers guys and glad I found this Awesome Place!!

Here's the diagram of that ignition circuit. I'm interested to see how this goes for you, as some of these OEM parts are increasingly hard to find.

thanks for the reply, trying to put the 2 seperate diagrams together and find the correct wires. I have cut all the connections off the exciter and extended all the wires to the frame, keeping intact all the plug ins and connectors, by all accounts there is one wire coming out of the pulsar coil not being used?. Everything else seems to make sense regardless of wire color.

Part is in tomorrow $23 at the auto parts store so I will post pics and update then
