voltage reg
thinking mine is bad..was charging battery but now its not... robin 1pg....anyon know anything bout this....how to double check it etc...part number??? I got it running great now this....thank everyone for helping.

You can disconnect the small green wire where it connects to the starter/generator. Run a temporary jumper from that terminal on the starter/generator to ground and see what voltage you get while running for a few seconds. Grounding that terminal should jump the generator to "full blast" and give you something over normal voltage - sometimes over 18 volts so don't run it long that way. If your voltage goes up the generator is working and the voltage regulator is bad. If voltage still doesn't go up then your looking at a generator failure.

doesn't have starter generator, its internal..so I am told...dang thing was working just the other day.
