Default Workhorse bed rattle

Hello I'm brand new to the forum and this is my first car a ezgo work horse 1200. It was given to me and is gas powered. Is it normal for the bed to rattle so much and if so how do I stop that. Also is there any way to install seats in the bed that can be removed.

Welcome Aboard !!! I'm assuming You have the older-style workhorse with the metal dump box, those rattle like CRAZY but there ARE a few tricks to quiet them down. First, there are 2 rubber bumpers attached to the frame behind the seat, the box rides on them when it is closed. They need to be adjusted as high as they can go (they are threaded) and yet still allowing the box to latch. If they are lower, You'll get a pretty annoying rattle there.

Second, pop $8 on Ebay for a set of rubber ATV hood latches and install them on the bed to hold the tailgate shut, the factory pins don't hold it very solidly and they rattle like crazy - the rubber straps fix most of that issue.

Lastly, make sure the bushings on the hinges aren't all ovalled out, they should be round and the hinge pin should be fairly tight in there and hard to pull out. If the pin is loose, thats another rattle spot - A new set of rubber bushings is under $20 and will help shut that bed up !!!

As to seats, You *could* drill through the bed and bedliner and bolt in a pair of tractor seats or ? from underneath, drawback to that is the holes in the bed and bedliner - I am not aware of anyone making a rear seat kit for the MPT1200, sorry. Hope this helped, if You have any other questions ask away!

That helps a lot I will adjust the bumpers and get the latchs. Thanks for the information. I have so much to learn about this cart. But it's already fun around the property.

Hey guys. I know this thread is a little old but does anyone know where I can find the bushings for the bed hinges? I have a 2001 ST350 and bushings on the bed are completely gone. The bed flops around pretty bad.
