2009 EZGO Issues
Friends cart, stock motor. New battery, tested good and ZERO power. No headlights, horn, starter, nothing. No idea what's wrong! I checked all of the fuses I could find, three glass ones near the battery and the 7.5 amp fuse off the solenoid. Any ideas?

Micro switch in the floor good? Key switch functioning? Continuity on the wires? if you jump the solenoid does the engine turn over?

Re: 2009 EZGO Issues
I need to check the micro-switch. What gets me is that the headlights don't even work when you turn the key on. I tried jumping the solenoid with a screwdriver but it didn't do anything for some reason?? I used to start an old four-wheeler like that, just connect the two large posts together. Nothing.
Let me know what you think please. |

Re: 2009 EZGO Issues
I'd pull all the grounds (frame, engine, etc) and clean them up real good, also try checking for voltage from the battery side of the solenoid to the actual negative battery post, if You're getting voltage there then try testing it from the battery side of the solenoid to the frame - if no, then You have a bad ground somewhere ...

Re: 2009 EZGO Issues
I agree with BCM, check all grounds. I'd take a jumper wire, test wire, etc and go right to the battery to the front light ground, and pos to pos. Lights up?
Pull that plate off and be sure everything is hooked up, do you have voltage to the power in side of the key switch? If you connect those two wires together, lights turn on? |

Re: 2009 EZGO Issues
So there's grounds by the battery, the wire under the cart on the frame, starter to motor...
Could the key switch be bad? Any other grounds to look for? This cart is super clean, not dust or mud or anything. |

Re: 2009 EZGO Issues
See my questions I asked, and also check continuity on the key switch.

Re: 2009 EZGO Issues
Should I have 12 volts at key switch?
Also, no - if I connect those two, nothing. But the solenoid does click if I connect them....?? Also, where's the best place to get the rivets we drilled out to remove the dash? |
