Re: ezgo gas engine volt drop and dynastarter getting hot
What year is your cart?
Your voltages show that it is running on the battery. Your generator should be putting out around 14 volts. Battery voltage is 12.7v, and drops as it gets used. I suspect the voltage regulator, but it needs to be tested first. I only speak one language. I believe that you speak at least three. You have my respect for that. |

it is from year 2000
voltage regulator is not original any more this 1 is on the cart now if i give gas it gives 14v if i dont it the engine is ideling then it shows only what is in the battery some times it has a peek above 14v if i give power to the engine |

Re: ezgo gas engine volt drop and dynastarter getting hot
It sounds like the generator is working. I still suspect the voltage regulator.
Here is a test. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-e...ng-system.html |

Nothing wrong with 14 volts when charging 15 or above is when you're getting a little to much

There is high resistance somewhere.
Disconnect each wire, and clean with sandpaper. |

Re: ezgo gas engine volt drop and dynastarter getting hot
Put your meter on the battery.
What is the voltage? Then step on the gas pedal. What does the battery voltage drop to? That is a load test. If it drops down to 9.6 volts, the battery is bad. |
