88 Marathon propelled durring start
Shouldn't the starter, start the engine before the clutch starts propelling the cart? It use to with the old warn out belt. I have replaced it with an OEM belt and it seems way too grippy. The as soon as you hit the gas peddle it starts propelling the cart on the starter. I am thinking GOOD starter! Until your on a hill, then the starter doesn't have enough power to propel or start. Is this normal? Is there a break in period on a new belt?

Re: 88 Marathon propelled durring start
I think I just answered my own question. After looking at the new belt and comparing it to the old one is is a wider belt. So I put the old cracked one back on and I'll use the new one as a backup when and if it breaks.
