Universal EZGO TXT ignition key?
There's a local golf cart dealer that I use every now and then for maintinence on my cart. They offer a service that picks the cart up from your house and then drops it off when they are done. My question is that I never leave the key for them but they are able to drive it onto the trailer, perform service and then put it back where they left it at the house. I always wondered was there some universal key that works in these carts or how do they do it??
(besides black magic and voodoo of course) |

Yea I heard that's true. I know Commercial lawn equipment is that way. Toro , John Deere, etc.

Yes they are the same, you can order them with a different secure switch or install one yourself.

Re: Universal EZGO TXT ignition key?
Pretty much ALL manufacturers vehicles use THEIR same key. EZGO = EZGO, Club Car = Club Car and Yamaha = Yamaha...

Re: Universal EZGO TXT ignition key?
We sell / install quite a few of the EZGO uniquely keyed switches for our customers. STILL - remember that there are only TWO wires that have to be crossed to get a cart to run (stock motor). Standard key or security key).
Keys are like padlocks - they keep the honest people honest, and the dis-honest people dis-honest! PS - there are a few insurance companies that now carry a policy for golf carts. I know All State in my area charges around $98.00 / year for full coverage! |
