2001 Gas EZ GO Cart does not clock and does not go

My 2001 EZ GO Gas powered golf cart will not move. It also does not click. I have replaced the ignition where you put the key in. I checked the battery with a Test light and it lit up, I checked the fat red cable that goes to the solenoid and it shows good. I also checked the fuse that's in the box with the solenoid and it also shows good. My brother replaced the spark plugs for me. Can anyone help me figure out what might be wrong.

Check the battery with a volt meter to get an accurate reading on volts. Also check your ground wires. I has the same issue with mine. I took off all the grounds and used a dremel with a wire wheel attachment and cleaned the wire, bolt, and where the ground connected to. Mine worked after that.

Awesome! Thank you, I will try that. I even got under it and tried to follow all the wires to make sure none were loose or disconnected. I will try that and let you know. Thanks again!

With your test light, turn key on, press gas peddle and see if the other wire on the solenoid lights up?? it should!

If not, check for power in and out of micro switch at the gas peddle.

Turn the key on, should have power on one side of switch. push peddle down and you should have power on the other side of switch.
