Default 1999 gas ez go

After cart has run for a few mins and got hot I have trouble getting it to go.
I have pat the gas pedal several times to get it cranked. Then I get no power till pedal is almost down all the way. Loss of power also. It stays like this till engine has completely cooled.

When cold everything is fine.

PS: need help bad.

Put a new spark plug(s) in it to start with.

How is your spark when hot? Could be coil braking down when hot.

Explain patting the gas? Are you saying the engine does not turn over? Or turns over but does not start?

I have adjusted valves to .004, cart cranks. What I meant by patting pedal is like it is running but not picking up speed enough to go forward. I have a new driven bet also.

It is like it is barely running and I keep patting gas pedal till rpm come up.

The gas pedal has to be all the way down to move the cart. When engine is cold I do not have to do this.

Ps. Sorry I am not clear. I am trying to be. Also thanks for the replys.

Without seeing or hearing it run its hard to say.

But when I encounter heat related issues I go to the coil and plug wires. They are suspect for braking down under a load and heat.
