89 marathon no starter in reverse
Today when I went to use the cart the starter will not operate when I switch to reverse. The starter operates fine in forward switch setting. Not sure how to diagnose what's going on.

I would suspect the big copper lugs in the forward/reverse switch first, then brushes in the starter.
Maybe even loose, or dirty connections at each end of the big wires. |
