Default Any 2pg rebuild tips?

Just ordered the parts to do a complete rebuild of the 2pg. Any tips, tricks, or helpful hints on doing the rebuild?

Use Loctite, and stake the seals in.
Make sure the piston has the hole facing the intake side.
Rings go bevel side up, and the ends wrap around alignment pins in the grooves.
Seal the case halves with a good sealer. There is no gasket.
Make sure it's airtight when bolting it back together.
Align the pulsar plate in the center of the mount screws for timing.

Take your fuel pump apart, and make sure both diaphragms are not ripped.

Use this manual.....

Never rebuilt any cart motors but have built a few hotrod motors. Always had a gallon of lacquer thinner around for cleaner, especially where you want sealer (or paint) to stick to parts.

Also, if you haven’t already taken your clutch off, there’s a simple home made tool that uses a length of steel rod and a bolt; someone else would have to chime in on the specifics but it’s cheap and easy.
