Fitting golf cart in trailer
Picked up a 2016 valor gas yesterday.
Measured it to be 71.5 inches. My trailer opening is 72”. Trailer has barn doors. Used two 6-7ft ramps, scraped pretty good going in. Trying to figure out what to do to make loading easy? Could hack the top, so I could drop it when loading. Not sure I want to do that. Could probaly lower the air pressure loading, seems like a hassle. Tires say 21” on it now. Would getting some 20” be enough to clear with ease you think? Side note, surprised this cart doesn’t have a fuel gauge |

Re: Fitting golf cart in trailer
We have a 6x12 box trailer that we use to haul our ST350 around in.
I had to have the top chopped so I could remove the top. Normally, the top and the uprights are at the nose of the trailer and the beast climbs backwards to keep the weight over the axle and hitch. |

. Plan B ; a ratchet tie down in the center of the cart to compress the suspension might work if you only need a inch' but dont know if theres even room for that, you might have to add eye bolts (top/bottom) to hook to ,but thats a 10 dollar fix . |

Re: Fitting golf cart in trailer
We used to let the air out, hassle but I️ts not like these tires need a lot of air pressure

Re: Fitting golf cart in trailer
Think I’m going to just chop like an inch off the top, then should slide right in easy.
Who has done this? Thinking saw an inch off, then insert like 6” of square tubing into each post, either weld in place of drill holes and bolt in place, then slide the cut off pieces over and weld or bolt together. Anyone done this? Anyone know the inside diameter of the post? Hoping I could find the right size square tubing at Home Depot to fit snugly inside |

Re: Fitting golf cart in trailer
Pipe is round. Put it inside the square tube. It was a tight fit, weld it in when you make your repair after cutting the tube.
I believe we used 3/4 gas pipe like you find at big box stores. I hope this helps. |
