Default Power To Ingition Switch But None Going Out

Brand new member here with a problem. I have a 2007 TXT that has had zero problems over the past five years. A few days ago It wouldn't start so I pushed it in the shop and charged the battery. Still no start, no reverse alarm, lights or anything. I checked the key switch (four prong) and found that I have power in, but none out except on one terminal when on accessory. No power at the throttle micro switch or the FRN switch. I replaced the key switch and there is no change. This thing really has me perplexed. I have done a number of searches here, but found nothing that leads me to a solution. Any help would be appreciated.

not familiar with this set up but sounds like the internals of the switch is not making contact where need to be. I would think you could temporarily jump across the switch and bypass it to see if everything started working

Do you have a manual with wiring diagram? Also you might check the 7amp.fuse that is shown on line from solenoid to switch. If you don't have a manual PM me with your email address and I can send you a copy of the 2007 Tech manual.

I have not tried jumping the switch because I am concerned I will screw something up by doing that. dcannow I would really appreciate the manual, but I don't see how to do a PM. If you could tell me how to do that I will. I have not seen a 7 amp fuse at all on the cart. Thanks.

Your cart is a 2007 model, i think the wiring is the same as the earlier models, so there is no feed to the ignition switch until you push the pedal. the power goes from the battery to solenoid, then through a fuse and on to the reverse buzzer, then down to the microswitch under the floor in the pedal control box. then it goes to the ignition switch and on to the solenoid again. you need to trace the circuit and find a break. It is most likely to be the fuse under the black box in front of the battery. My memory is fading but i think i have the circuit right in my head. I will go check in the book and come back to confirm. Or someone else with better memory will be here soon to confirm or correct me.

Edit.

Does the reverse buzzer work? if not, then it is most likely to be the fuse or a wiring fault under that black plastic cove

To PM click on my post name--dcannow--A window will come up with options--Click on "send private message" and type your email address in the window and click "submit" and it should post to me. I then get an email letting me know I have a message. My 9 year old grandson showed me how to do this!!!

I have found the terminals on the inline fuse in the black box by the battery corroded or broken, also check the green wire that plugs in somewhere around the forward reverse switch, that terminal has a habit of corroding too.

PapaD--If you tried to send me a PM with your email address it didn't come through. I did get a notice to add you as a "friend". If you still want the manual I need the email address to send it.
