2011 ezgo st2
I have a 2011 EZGO ST2 with the 4" factory lift and 22" tires. I sold a Polaris ranger to go back to a golf cart and am regretting the decision.
I forgot how bad a golf cart rides compared to a Polaris Ranger. Are their any shocks that I can put on this cart to help the ride at all? I don't want to go back with a factory golf cart shock if possible. |

Re: 2011 ezgo st2
Depending on what shocks are on the cart now, changing to something a bit more compliant could be in order. If you currently have "off road" shocks they could be part of the problem. My buddy switched from some HD off road shocks made for a pickup to standard gas charged shocks for a minivan and got a lot of ride improvement. Personally, I use standard Gabriels for a 60's Mustang on my cart. It rides a little rough but that is due to the four leaf HD rear springs dictated by the loads carried. Standard rear leaf springs would be good if you have HD versions now.

Yeah, the current shocks look to be "off-road" type shocks compared to a stock cart. I removed a leaf spring from the rear and it helped, but the front is what will beat you to death.
Does anyone know of a NAPA part # or anything to a car or van shock that I could look into? |

Look here....
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/lifte...-pdf-file.html It will take a little reading and measuring but you should find something that fits a moderate use/size vehicle that you could use. If the ST2 uses the same as my TXT it would take Gabriel 81270 for all four corners. You might measure your shocks, extended and collapsed, and compare to the Gabriel spec. These have studs on top and bottom. I have a feeling they might work. http://gabriel.com/product-search/li...?partnum=81270 |
