well, tested today and that was not it. Still does it once in a while. would overfilling it with oil cause anything like this? It is sitting on an angle due to lift so I put in 1.5qrts like everyone says to do. I think it is 46oz. I though that was correct? Just at a loss??? The linkages though helped alot. I also noted it does it much more cold, after it warms up it might do it once every 3 mins and usually when changing speeds, not at all with high rpms.

If the cart is running away on partial pedal that makes it sound to me like a carb issue.

Actually That part of it I have found was the linkages. I have that corrected. I started a new thread since I am no longer on the Carb part of it. However I do have two carbs and it behaves the same with either. Spits and smokes.

I wanted to closes out this thread. Perhaps my inability to listen to smarter than I people will be a lesson. So I found my original EZGO Carb sitting in the my parts cleaner for nearly 3 weeks. had forgotten so I removed it am set it on a shelf. Well last Thursday I put it back together. Saturday I put it back in the cart.... Pooof all problems are now gone. I can now crawl like an ant, no spits... I have more top end and the engine rev's higher. The throttle curve is back to normal. All my issues were due to a Dirty 20.00 carb. So I am a believer in getting OEM Carbs now.

Price one and you just might change your mind. These aftermarket work for me. I have installed many. Only had problems with one. Good luck with yours. Tom.
