1999 ez go gas.will not run after motor gets warm

My cart runs but when it gets hot and you turn it off when you try to start it nothing happens. Its like battery is completely dead which it is not.

When it cools off it starts right up.

any help would be appreciated

Hello,
I am not an expert, but the starter solenoid is the first thing I would check. Sometimes when they get warm they don't want to work. It is easy to check just make a jumper wire and jump (connect) the two large wires on the solenoid and it should spin over. If that does not work then you will need to check your starter.

If still no go, it may be your motor brushes.

One side of the solenoid is hot all the time.
After engine is hot put test light on the other side and push accelerator down, see if the other side becomes hot! if it does its not the solenoid.
If it does then check wire to starter, while engine is hot and will not turn over, hold down on the accelerator and tap the starter with a hammer. Did it start. if so then pull starter end off and look at the brushes.

If first step you did not get juice on the other side of solenoid, the solenoid or the micro switch is most likely the issue.
