Default 05 TXT Fan and clutch removal questions

I have a couple questions.

1. I'm imagining to remove the fan the bolt is reverse threaded. I don't want to damage anything so I want to confirm before I start trying to remove it.

2. After removing the center bolt from the drive clutch, how do I get that thing off? Is there something else holding it on or do I need to persuade it with a dead blow rubber mallet?

Any other tips when removing the driven clutch and the fan?

If you only want to remove the fan, and not the flywheel, just unbolt the fan bolts. Assuming yours is a Robin twin cylinder engine like mine was. You will need a clutch puller bolt to remove the drive clutch. If you really mean the driven clutch, someone else will have to offer advice. I understand it can be persistent.

CORRECTION!! I want to remove the drive clutch.

Is the fan bolt standard or reverse threaded?

I can't find any reference in the EZGO engine repair manual about the crankshaft nut being left handed. And I have never removed the fan hub. Are there not enough threads showing out of the nut to determine left or right hand threads?

You need a puller bolt to remove the drive clutch. Our sponsor vendors carry those. You can improvise a bolt and spacer rod but I prefer the actual tool. Found mine for about $35.

The fan is standard thread. I used an impact gun to remove it.
