Splitting the rear end (2005 TXT)
I've got the whole rear end axle and all out of my cart. I have the left wheel on and the whole thing sitting on the left wheel with the right axle pointing straight up.. I have all 10 bolts out of the rear end and according to my documentation I should be able to use a mallet and upward force and separate the pumpkin halves allowing me to get to the gears.
Man ... it isn't budging at all!! Anyone ever do this? Tips? |

FYI that posi only works in forward, not reverse if that matters at all to you.
I think Plowman's does a limited slip that works in forward and reverse for EZGOs. |

Re: Splitting the rear end (2005 TXT)
I finally got the diff split... It took a little bit of persuasion that's all!
The Plowman's kit won't work in Gas carts and the folks i spoke to there pretty much only do Yamaha's. They wanted no part of mine. |

I too am in process of splitting the pumpkin, can you give me any pointers? and I like the limited slip diff idea while I am in there. Are you also removing the governor?
