Default 1991 marathon 2 cycle dumb question

ok guys,
I know I'm not a complete idiot to golf carts in general, but with gas, I maybe. lol

I just got this cart a really good deal, and it needs a lot of cosmetic work, but its my new project (only done electrics before)

I thought with a 2 stroke you had to mix gas, (even with peoples comments saying so on here.)

does this work like "oil injection" on a 2 cycle boat motor? (you know the one that people say sometimes fail and prefer to unhook and mix their gas, just in case? )

so as I took a look at the engine today, and was trying to figure out exactly what ratio I need to mix, I come across this.....one pic has a sticker next to the gas tank, the other picture is of what I'm assuming is an oil reservoir.

do I need to do away with that and mix my gas? or does the oil reservoir work like it should? the oil reservoir is on the opposite side of the cart across from the gas tank.

what's my best route?

you guys are the best, and looking for facts and opinions.

thanks,
Dino

If it's a new to you cart I'd highly suggest capping off the lines and premixing these carts are 30ish years old someone will chime in with premix ratios

Plug the lines and mix the fuel 1:28/1 or 1oz per gallon a bit more wont hurt a thing.

Remove oil pump from front/ flywheel side of engine and plug hole on intake manifold between carb and engine.
