Three position ignition for lights
I've searched through a lot of threads about this and just need a bit of clarification. I've installed an led light kit on my 2011 TXT and I just don't like the looks of the push/pull light switch. I'm going to order the 3 position ignition switch to keep the dash area clean. The big question is, do I have to use a relay or can I just move the two wires from my push pull switch to the new off, on, on w/ lights switch? Just moving the two wires seems to be the most logical solution as I'm just going from one switch to another. Thanks BGW!

3 position switch diagram. Indeed move the 12v feed and 12v load over to the new switch.

Thanks Scotty! It is as simple as it seems. I was leaning that way but read some posts of people using relays and such. That steered me away from my beloved KISS methodology and made me do the unthinkable...THINK. Thanks again!

You are welcome. Some people get in real trouble with this switch not realizing there are indeed 2 feeds of different voltages on the switch
