Default 2009 ezgo rxv gas mods????

Im new to the golf carts and have an 09 rxv gas cart and did a lift and other mods. Looking to see how to adjust the governor to get a little more speed up top and also does anyone make a heavier valve spring to keep the valve float down. Thanx in advance.

Governor adjustment should be in the engine compartment towards the back of the golf cart behind the starter. The less threaded rod sticking out from the nuts the faster it goes. I adjusted it all the way to the end on my 93 EZ-Go Marathon and it drove to "jerky" at low speeds when you touched the gas so I backed it off a little so that its smooth a lower speeds but still faster top speed than normal.

Could also do a Heavier Drive Clutch spring for a mod, but that will help more on the low end (Torque) than high speed.

Actually the rxv doesnt have the same gov as rest of the ezgos. Its so weird. Found a write up n did the bracket mod n seems ok. Two adults total weight of ur is 400lbs n we got it to go 24.7mph.

Not sure what bracket it would be. I adjusted mine like in the vid, and it was stupid fast. I turned it down to keep my boys from killing themselves. I turned it down a little.

The throttle cable adjustment to wide open throttle gives u more speed and works but the governor still kicks in. If ur looking at the back thru golf bag well take channel locks and the throttle cable bracket u bend it about 1/4” outward and it puts the gov shorter throw and increases speed. Mine will run 25 mph with 400lbs worth of adults on it.

I've heard it's not healthy for the Kawasaki to turn 4 grand or more. Be careful...
