2000 text Robin 295 with bad ignitor

I've got a 2000 Robin 295 with a bad ignitor that will spark on first revolution then no spark swapped it out with another carts ignitor and had great spark what's the options for replacing them I see oem are about 500 and aftermarket are about 200 but I really hate buying aftermarket electrical parts is there any other options?

You could always try a HEI conversion. Some people have had luck with it working and some had issues. I tried the HEI on my 2000 TXT with Robins 295. I had great spark and the cart started just fine and would idle. My issue was it would not go into High RPMs. I was told on some motors the HEI and/or the original ignitor changes the timing of the motor. So like I said some people getbluvky and it works and some have issues. The benefits is a much stronger spark. The part costs about $20-$30 on Amazon just make sure if you do try it to mount it to some sort of metal for heat dissipation.
