Default Please help identify this EZ GO Gas cart

Hi guys. Can you please help me identify this cart? I'm trying to help a lady get it running. Her husband passed away and I told her I would take a look at it but no nothing about carts. I got her Grasshopper lawn mower running but am very familiar with yard equipment. Golf carts are foreign territory for me but I told her I would at least try. Where do I start? I told her a new battery for sure so am going to pick one up tomorrow. What next? Is this a 4 stroke or 2 stroke? Ok sorry to bomb you with a bunch of questions but figured I'd start with at least identifying what model it is. It has a cargo bed she uses for gardening. Thanks! Chris

OK awesome. At least now I know what it is if I go to a local cart shop for parts and stuff. I can't get it to roll now as it doesn't seem to have a neutral. I used a floor jack under the rear hitch to move it around the garage but is there a way to get it into a neutral? It won't stay in the middle between reverse and forward. Seems to want one or the other?

There is an adjustment on the cables at the rear end for F-R, that may solve the issue.

If you can get the lever to stay, you should be able to get it neutral. You can also remove the drive belt and that should help you roll it around.

Are you having any other issues getting it going? Will it crank? There are some good diagrams here on the site for wiring, and there isnt a lot you can do with the fuel system other than clean it out.

There should be a lock out lever on the shifter arm going into the transaxle. Bout an inch long. Pull that out and spin it 180 degrees. When you now shift the lever it should lock when it hits neutral.
