Default Cart won’t move when there’s resistance???

So cart doesn’t want to start when it’s up against any kind of resistance, even something as simple as the lip of the garage or driveway.

The starter belt turns fine but the drive belt just slips, not wanting to grab and actually fire.

On flat ground it is sluggish to start but then moves just fine after a few seconds.

Could this be the starter not being powerful enough? Weak battery? I know my brushes could use replacing as well.

The drive belt don't have anything to do with it starting, it will slip until it does start and reaches the RPM to close the clutch.

or maybe I'm not understanding.

Yes...you understood. Just read it and see that’s confusing

What you said is what I meant. It just cranks but doesn’t start when there is some time of resistance. Choke doesn’t appear to help so don’t believe it’s a fuel issue.

Ill have to drive it a bit this morning to see. After it sits for a bit, it’s usually very responsive. Just unloaded it from the trailer and it had zero issues.

Short answer: yes

Just drove it about a mile, came to my driveway, pinned back wheels against the lip of the driveway (about 1.5”) and then pressed the gas. Wouldn’t move.

Put it in neutral and hit the gas, it took about 2 sec but started up.

Put it back in drive and it took about 10 seconds but slowly went over the lip and up the driveway.
