Gas cart winding sound
So I just bought a used 2017 Gas ezgo S4 cart. The owner before me put a bright bar light on top of the cart. I have noticed when I push the gas and the bar light is on I hear a winding sound. When I left off the gas or turn the bar light off the sound goes away. Any ideas?

Re: Gas cart winding sound
Alternator/generator whine from trying to make enough amps to drive the light bar. An LED light bar will draw much less amps and you won't hear the whine. Unfortunately, they are expensive.

I believe the bar light is a LED.

Re: Gas cart winding sound
I would check the wiring and make sure the bar is wired to the fuse box or battery directly.
