2000 ezgo workhorse clutch change
Ok so I’m new to golf carts. I just got a 2000 ezgo workhorse with the Robins 295 engine in it. I tested the compression and both cylinders were at 60 psi. After some research I adjusted the valves with little change. I can’t afford a rebuild so I’m going to put an aftermarket 13hp engine in it. My problem is the old clutch won’t fit on the 1” shaft of the new engine and I can’t afford a $400 new clutch.
My question is can I use a off brand torque converter that takes a 7/8 belt and still use the original driven clutch that takes a 1 3/16 belt? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks |

In short, NO
In the long run that engine swap will cost you more then a rebuild!! What state are you in? |
