If it is the twin cylinder Robin engine, then that white wire is for an oil pressure light. Not fitted to all models so will not affect running at all. You can ignore it for now, but you may wish to use it later when you have got the engine running. All you will need to do is fit a 12 volt lamp to the dash, connect one side to solenoid switched live and the other side to the white wire and it should work as designed
The other two wires are from the pick up at the flywheel to fire the ignitor for spark.

Congrats on the new ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to BGW. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives’, husbands, girlfriend’s and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

You should find wiring diagrams in the ezgo gas tech section to help you figure things out.
The orange wire for the ignitor goes to the positive switched side of the solenoid if i recall correctly. You will have to check this but i am sure someone will be along to confirm soon.

You should have a solenoid that operates the starter, and an ignitor unit that mounts with two bolts and has an orange wire and a four conductor plug ....A bad ignitor would be my first guess but I'm pretty new to the Robin setup. These are mounted to the same bracket the square voltage regulator is on. That bracket needs to have a good solid ground and the solenoid and regulator should be grounded through their mounting holes.

What I have learned so far in my few weeks as a cart mechanic is that grounds are very important. Make certain all your ground leads are clean, shiny, and tight where they attach. The battery needs to be grounded to the chassis and the engine. (Mine is grounded at the starter generator)

It doesn't hurt to run additional grounds, especially on a rusty cart. I added one from the coil bracket to the engine block, and from the chassis to the engine on the flywheel side. There was one ground wire that was formerly attached under a plastic cover, and I moved that one to a more solid metal on metal connection that could be tightened sufficiently.

Look into the HEI conversion too. It made my dead 90's TXT run! (And a cheapie new ignitor, new solenoid, and voltage regulator did not) I replaced them all because I was having spark issues and the solenoid and VR were quite corroded.

If you already knew all this my apologies.
