Default Added shorter belt to 97 TXT and now no forward or reverse

Finally have the engine perfectly tuned, added the short belt to the clutch. Now when putting into forward or reverse, absolutely no movement, it’s like it’s stuck in reverse. Is it time for a new rear clutch? Or should I check some cables etc, first.

Sometimes that happens when adding a non stock belt. It has to have movement to shift correct. The belt is probably too tight not letting the clutch move

Thats what i was thinking. does it "pop" into gear if you rock the cart back and forth?

It does not. I will add the old belt and see if it changes anything. Will update...

So added the old belt, absolutely nothing. If I have it in either forward or reverse, I can move it freely with any resistance by hand. Gears in rear shot?

More likely you need to adjust the shift linkage.

On both ends or just the rear portion?

The rear - make it pull further in both directions... You can verify if this is indeed needed by moving the shift lever further with a pair of pliers or? and see if the cart goes into gear.

Finally had some time to take a look. I’ve pulled the shifter levers up, is that right direction? Also I took a video of the shift linkage moving while pressing on the pedal. Let’s see if this link works:

doesn't look like your shifter is moving far enough, Try moving the leaver at the rear end by hand while rocking the cart with both wheels on the ground and see if it works. Engine off!
