Remove the center cover on the steering wheel and crank the bolt a little tighter. I had the same touble when my cart was new and then again when I swapped steering wheels. I that doesnt fix it start looking at the front suspension, everything from wheels, bearings & tie rods. Have you added a lift?

the drievtrain and suspension are all factory Express L6. So, lifted but stock.

i tried to remove the steering wheel but and it was pretty darn tight. i thought maybe some grease in there would help quiet things.

i may try rotating the tires and see if it changes. it definitely sounds like a resonance thing with the wheel speed. it intermittently gets in that zone where things are vibrating more..

While you have the wheels off rotating them pull the dust cap off of the hub on the front and remove the cotter pin in the nut. See if you can tighten the nut just enough to get the pin back in the next hole BUT still being able to spin the hub without a whole lot of effort. If the bearing are just a little loose the vibration will travel all the way to the steering wheel.
